Britney spears is a renowned American singer, song-writer, and actress who’s sold more than 30 million albums and one of the best young artists of today, forgive the number of lawsuits and arrests. Britney was a gymnast until nine participating in national level competitions and also showed a great interest in dance and music. When she was11 she auditioned for a role in the Mickey mouse club and bagged it on the first go and has been the limelight ever since. Britney and a group of friends started a band called Innosence and they started playing out in the public and gained substantial success. The following year Britney recorded alone and was signed by Jive records as they could foresee Britney becoming the next big teen sensation!
1998 saw the rise of this female pop star to phenomenal heights when the much awaited “Baby one more time” was released and stayed on top for a continuous two weeks! It was the highest sold album for a female artist at that time. It also dealt with a fair share of controversy due to Britney’s clothing style and her vow that she would remain a virgin until marriage, the latter of which is extremely doubtful!
Britney married Jason Alexander, a long time friend, on a night out at Las Vegas suddenly without prior notice in a small ceremony attended by friends. The marriage which lasted 55 hours was annulled, as surprisingly as her marriage, due to lack of understanding of the terms of the marriage or tactlessness on Britney’s part! This short marriage has been the most wide spoken topics about Britney’s life! Britney then got engaged to Kevin Federline who was in an extra-marital affair with another star Shar Jackson. To add to the craziness Britney married him in a surprise ceremony right when Kevin and Shar were expecting the birth of their second child! All said and done she still the reigning queen of the teen pop sensation with her raspy voice and catchy words .
Britney took a career break during which she conceived her first child Sean Preston and was back with her album consisting of all her singles hits smashing the billboards once again. She never fails to amaze the camera’s with her antics like when she almost dropped Sean Preston while coming out of a New York hotel or the time when she posed very pregnant and nude for a magazine. Following this string of bizarre activities she got herself checked into a Drug rehabilitation centre and then went on to shave her head with electric clippers! The media has followed her from her late teens into her twenties making her life transparent to the public. Through her song ‘overprotected’ she speaks out her mind and hints that she needs to take control of her own life and that she could connect with it on a personal basis. Other than music, she has her own line of fragrances which I think personally are great. I would love her to look into another celeb must do and create a jewellery range, with a style similar to nomination and love links .
